Beauty picked up the call and it was her husband. She was so happy not just because he has finally called her but also because she now knows he's ok. She has so many questions to ask him and she kept them all coming. Jamie answered every single question she asked. She wanted to know what's going on and why he didn't pick up her calls all those days. He told her there's been a problem and that he's been arrested. Arrested?
For what? Beauty was shocked. She asked him what he did and he couldn't give her any reasonable answer but that is not her problem for now. She's just glad she has heard from him. She then told him the good news,that she's pregnant. Jamie was ecstatic and they both forgot their problems momentarily. The call lasted for 15mins and then ended. When the call cuts,that was when what her husband just told her sank in. Her husband has been arrested and is in jail. But what could he has done that warrants an arrest? He seems like a good guy to the best of her knowledge and he's from a good family too. How come he's arrested? He must have committed something. All these and many more thoughts were going through her mind and were just coming in way too much. She broke down in tears. She cried for a long time. She can't understand why such a thing is happening. They had their wedding barely one month ago. Her happiness is been threatened.
Beauty related the news to both her family and that of her husband. Everybody was distraught. They all started consoling her telling her not to worry,that everything will be fine. She knows they all are worried too and decided to be strong herself. She doesn't like people worrying about her. She has a strong personality and would rather worry about others. She told everybody not to worry,that she's fine and will be alright. Both families decided to keep this news inside the family and not let outsiders in on what's going on. Of course that's the best thing to do because telling everyone won't solve the problem but rather create a topic for their next gossip. Two days later,Jamie called her again. They talked for sometime and he told her their calls will now be limited to just 15mins per call and that he'll be calling her two times a day. Just that? How long is it going to be this way she asked. Jamie said he doesn't know but thinks it's until he's out which he hopes will be soon as he'll go on trial anytime soon. Beauty doesn't know what her husband is been charged with and decided to use this opportunity to find that out. Just as she was about asking him,the call cut. She became sad yet again. She wasn't even able to say goodbye to him. Is this how it's going to be for her now? And for how long?
The next day,Jamie called Beauty again. He asked her how she's coping with the pregnancy and she replied she's just fine. Beauty then asked him what he did that caused his arrest. He told her a story of a Jamaican guy he was housing but later found out he has a crooked personality. This made him throw the guy out and it didn't go down well with the Jamaican who swore to deal with him. The arrest is a result of the feud. Jamie didn't really tell her what the guy did or say to the cops that convinced them to come arrest him and she didn't want to pressure him any longer. She decided to leave that question for another day. 15mins passed and the call ended. She felt so lonely and she has absolutely no idea what the future holds for her. She turned to her pillow and cried.
