Creation of Bond.

Hi dearies,I'm back to continue the story,The Prisoner's Wife. Remember Beauty was called two years later by the 'American guy'. Now continue:


When Beauty's phone rang,she picked up and inquired who's calling her. The voice on the other end of the phone belongs to a man and she can't recognize it. The man introduced himself as Jamie. Now Beauty can't remember anyone by that name and she told the man exactly that. The man explained himself further saying he's Jamie Gabo who she met at his father's memorial service 2 yrs ago in their village. Then she remembers. She then recalled that the cousin had asked for her permission to give the guy,Jamie,her phone no back then which she acknowledged. She noticed the no he's calling her with is a local no and asked him how come about that since she was told he lives in America. Jamie answered that he's presently in Nigeria but would be traveling back in 3 days time. He told her he would like to meet up with her but that his car is bad thus inviting her to come to his location instead and see him. Beauty said she can't. He asked her why that and she said she's writing her degree exams and wouldn't want to leave her studies to go visit a man. But of course that's a lie. She is through with her exams. She just doesn't think it's right for her to travel to another city only to go see a man she doesn't even know and who she feels might be interested in her. She believes the man should come see her where she is 1st. She always wants her men treating her fine and like a lady and she avoids any act that will make a man disrespect her. She sees this his request as that kind of act. So when she refused coming over to see him,Jamie told her he would have loved them to meet but that he understands that she can't jeopardize her exams and that since he's leaving soon,he'll postpone their meeting to when next he comes home. Beauty said okay,bid him bye and hung up.

Jamie went back to US like he said he would and called her immediately he arrived. They had a long chat and continued this way. He calls her always and for many hours. Slowly a relationship started brewing between them. They started having deeper conversations. They can talk about everything and nothing was off-limits. They discussed their families,friends and his work. He asked her to snap pics and send to him and even sent her money to cover the expenses and all. She snapped and sent lots of pics to him as he requested while he sent her his via email. One day,Jamie called her again and told her he'll be coming home in 2 months time. Beauty was happy that she's finally going to meet this man that thrills her . She also prayed that she will feel same thrill when they see in real life.

Two months later,Jamie came home. He drove down to Beauty's city to meet up with her. That day,Beauty took a long time to get ready. She wants to look her best when she finally meets him. Then the time came. Jamie calls her to come out to their agreed spot. He can't possibly come to her father's doorstep to pick her up. That will put Beauty in a huge trouble with her parents. When she received the call from Jamie,she picked up her bag and left her house. Getting to the rendezvous,she saw a blue car packed a bit far from her and walked towards it. Then Jamie stepped out. Of course she recognized him immediately but he looks slimmer now which is a good thing. Two years back when Beauty first meet him,he was looking quite plump and she never liked that image so she is definitely glad he looks much better now. Jamie gave her a hug,ushered her into his car and they drove off to his city.

 Question: What do you guys think of Beauty's refusal to go visit the guy at his city when he invited her over? Does  her reasons justify her action?
